Student Chapter Summit

January 25, 2024 @ 3:00 pm – January 27, 2024 @ 5:00 pm
Join MCA Toronto as they host the 10th Annual Student Chapter Summit. From January 25th-27th 2024, students from across Canada will come together to learn about the future of the mechanical contracting industry, technological advancements, career choices, as well as an opportunity to collaborate with fellow attendees in a mini competition.
Each year, the planning committee selects a theme or a project which will be the focus of the event. This year we are aiming at providing further understanding of renewable energy and the role of the mechanical contractor in achieving net zero by 2050. Students will have the unique opportunity to visit the Deep Lake Water Cooling system in downtown Toronto. They will also have an opportunity to hear from contractors and owners on how they plan on achieving the net zero targets.
The two days will not be all work. This year, we are excited to share that the Summit will take place concurrently with MCA Canada’s Emerging Leader conference. This is a unique opportunity for students to have the chance to attend keynote and networking events.
What is a student Chapter?
A Student Chapter is a partnership between an MCA and a local post-secondary institution to showcase the mechanical contracting industry to students. Depending on the school and the programs that it offers, chapter members are generally students enrolled in a mechanical program whether as a technologist or an engineer. Others could be obtaining construction management degrees or diplomas. Many chapters also combine students from other faculties such as civil engineering.
