Surveys have concluded that delay of payment puts undue pressure on the cash flow of many contracting businesses. As Alberta Construction Association (ACA) Chair, Paul Heyens, communicated to the participants, “Cash flow is the blood through the veins of the construction industry and necessary for its survival”. It is not just an issue that affects the Con- tractors, but also the Architects and Engineers; everyone has to have healthy cash flow, or they can’t work effectively.
