The highlights of this course are: an overview of the BIM process, what BIM is all about, how it is being used, and how is it impacting the Mechanical Contracting Industry; opportunities that BIM and 3D modeling technology afford Mechanical and Plumbing Contractors, including use of total station technology; what does it take to start up BIM in terms of infrastructure, software, hardware, personnel and training. This includes specifics and costs; options for starting BIM, including outsourcing; strategies for using BIM to execute more efficiently; and developing an initial BIM plan.
