Women in Canadian Trade Contracting
MCAC’s Women in Canadian Trade Contracting (WiCTC) initiative is a national forum dedicated to empowering women in the mechanical construction industry. Through networking, mentorship, education, and leadership opportunities, the program supports women in building long and rewarding careers. It also helps MCAC member companies attract, develop, and retain high-performing women, while increasing engagement in association programs, committees, and leadership roles. By fostering growth and connection, the initiative aims to make mechanical contracting a preferred career choice for women across Canada.
Introducing Susie's Shed!
In 2024, the Mechanical Contractor's Association of Canada launched Susie' Shed, a book meant to engage with younger generations and help debunk the myth that girls don't build. Written by Ken Lancastle, and illustrated by Michael Roy, this book was brough to you by the Women in Canadian Trade Contracting's Chair, Judy-Lynn Mason, with the support of the committee, and all provincial/local associations.
Together we can break down barriers and create a more inclusive industry for all.
