At the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada, our team is dedicated to advancing the mechanical contracting industry through advocacy, education, and collaboration. We are a passionate group of professionals working behind the scenes to support our members, promote innovation, and build strong partnerships across the country. Tania Johnston

Chief Executive Officer
Tania Johnston leads MCAC as its Chief Executive Officer, with more than 20 years of experience at the Association. Prior to becoming CEO, Tania served as the Executive Director of the Construction Education Council (CEC) and preciously served as Executive Director, Education and Special Projects for MCAC. Tania's passion for the industry continues to drive the association.

Ken Lancastle

Chief Operating Officer
Ken Lancastle has served as MCAC’s Chief Operating Officer since March 2020, bringing over 15 years of experience in leadership, communications, and innovation. Prior to becoming COO, Ken was MCAC’s Executive Director of Communications, Industry Outreach and Innovation, and previously held senior roles in renowned non-profits across Canada.

Emily Seabrook

Events Manager
Emily Seabrook joined the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada as Events Manager in March 2023. With over a decade of experience in event planning across the non-profit, private, and government sectors, Emily brings a strategic and creative approach to event execution. She earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2022.

Kay Parkes-Blanc

Marketing & Business Development Coordintor
Since April 2025, Kay joined the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada as the Marketing and Business Development Coordinator. She brings over 6 years of experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination across the nonprofit, private, and industry sectors.

Leah Schroder

Office Manager & Bookkeeper
Leah Schroder joined in April 2025 as the Bookkeeper and Office Manager at the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada. She brings 10+ years in office management, bookkeeping, and administrative operations across a variety of sectors. Leah plays a key role in supporting the association’s day-to-day operations and mission-driven work.

Piers Young

Program Coordinator
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada welcomes Piers Young as Program Coordinator in September 2025, bringing a diverse background in workforce development and education portfolios. His experience spans stakeholder engagement, research, and government relations, with a strong focus on supporting new leaders and advancing career development.
