In response to the significant demand for vLDP Series #1, we are delighted to announce the introduction of Series #2, featuring distinct dates.

This four (4) part Leadership Development Program series is presented by MCA Canada’s Women in Mechanical Contracting Committee and sponsored by Bradford White Canada, Lowe Mechanical Services and Wolseley.

Leadership is a capability needed in any role — not just people managers. We see leadership as the capacity to influence others, for the purpose of achieving a required business outcome. The MCAC Virtual Leadership Development Program (vLDP) provides you valuable insight in the role of the leader and how to create the conditions for success for your team. The vLDP will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in your leadership role, building greater self-awareness, adapting your communication approach in different situations, and demonstrate leadership in selecting the strategy to engage your team members. Your learning will be enhanced through stimulating and collaborative discussions with your peers and our expert facilitator, Jennie West-Correia, CPF, CEC – Senior Consultant, Facilitator and Executive Coach Leadership Development

This 10-day course for the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada is provided in association with the University of Waterloo. There are separate sessions on project estimating, communications, scheduling, claims, and more. Nine instructors, with related experience in the construction industry lead the participants through discussions, workshops, case studies, and simulations.
This course has been approved by the Canadian Construction Association for credits for 15 Gold Seal accreditation and 70 Professional Development Units (PMP Certification).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The Mechanical Contracting Project Management course is appropriate for individuals who are:
• Working for mechanical or other types of contractors, as project managers, project administrators, project controls personnel, site superintendents, estimators, business managers, shop managers, or possibly, foremen
• Managing or coordinating construction contractors

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Participants will gain practical skills to:
• Improve the planning and controlling of your projects, thereby improving your company’s bottom line.
• Take a business view of projects and take ownership of a project from bid to final payment.
• Increase your own project “lessons learned” by learning from the experiences of other participants.
• Be able and willing to contribute improvements to your company’s project management process.
• Be better prepared to take the Gold Seal examination, if you choose.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

• Full Refunds: If you wish to cancel your participation in the program, you are eligible for a full refund if the cancellation is requested before August 26, 2024.
• 50% Refund: If you cancel your participation between August 27-September 1, 2024, you are eligible for a 50% refund of the course fee.
• No Refunds: After September 1, 2024, no refunds will be granted for cancellations.

Change of Participant Name:
