Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series
To highlight the importance of education and encourage post-secondary students to pursue careers in the mechanical contracting industry, the Construction Education Council—alongside MCA Canada Associate Members—established the Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series. The program was renamed in honour of the Association’s former CEO, recognizing his lasting contributions to the industry.
APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN UNTIL AUGUST 31, 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must demonstrate a connection between their field of study and the mechanical contracting industry.
- Must be a Student Chapter Member or the child/ward of a salaried employee of an MCAC member company (membership must be active for at least one year).
- Must be enrolled full-time in a post-secondary program (degree, diploma, certificate, or apprenticeship) at an accredited Canadian institution, with a minimum “B” average in the previous academic year.
- Applicants must not be recipients of a major scholarship or bursary.
